Chloride Committee

The LDWG Chloride Committee was formed as an ad-hoc committee to work on chloride reduction activities for the Lower Des Plaines Watershed area. Participation in the committee is open to all LDWG members, please contact Jennifer Hammer to participate on the committee.

The focus for 2022 for the Chloride Committee will be to work on developing materials to support the implementation of the Chloride TLQWS as well as developing a Chloride Reduction Plan for the Lower Des Plaines Watershed for the areas outside of the Chloride TLWQS area and for entities not participating in the Chloride TLWQS.

Activities related to the Chloride TLWQS will be closely coordinated with the Chicago Area Waterways Chloride Workgroup, with at least some joint meetings.

PMP and Documentation Templates

Drafts of the templates for the Pollutant Minimization Plans (PMPs) and Documentation template are available to workgroup members. Separate templates for the PMPs have been prepared based on the different types of member organizations and what BMPs the organizations need to implement in their operations.
